Dr Meera Pai
Clinical Lead for extended hours and out-of-hours hospital services

How long have you worked for West London GP Federation?

I have been working here for six years.   I started working as a locum GP in the Extended Hours Service and became Clinical Lead 2 years ago.

How have you found working at the West London GP Federation?

I enjoy working at the West London GP Federation as it's a forward-thinking, dynamic organisation. Over the last few years, we have developed several exciting, innovative services such as acute respiratory clinics and respiratory hubs that support our local GP practices and provide patients with a high standard of care.  I get to work alongside local GP's and MDT colleagues and develop close relationships with secondary care, which helps us move towards a more integrative approach for patients. I feel well supported by my colleagues and encouraged in my professional and personal development.

What makes the West London GP federation different from other companies you have worked for?

My opinions are valued at the West London GP Federation, and with a clear organisational structure, we can implement novel ideas and approaches to community-based care quickly. We are encouraged to think outside the box to provide excellent patient care and support local GP practices. The federation also takes on feedback from local services and partners and implements changes quickly.
