West London GP Federation: Staff Benefits.

  • Although we are a private limited company, it is a Federation of the 5 PCNs in West London providing NHS services to patients and users of NHS services.

We offer all staff the opportunity to further their NHS career by gaining valuable experience and skills in primary care.

We welcome staff from the NHS who may wish to work for us permanently, for a fixed term or on secondment from their current role in the NHS.

We support individuals’ career aspirations and work with staff to ensure that their careers are enhanced by working for the Federation.

  • All staff are entitled to 25 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays each year, making 33 days.

We allow staff to carry over up to 5 days of untaken annual holiday each year.

If you have an entitlement for a holiday greater than 25 days per annum in your previous NHS employment, we will honour your greeter entitlement.

  • We recognise that you may be interested in reducing your working hours, working from home or changing working patterns.

The Federation will make every effort to accommodate requests for flexible working, provided that your duties can still be carried out effectively.

  • All staff are entitled to be members of the NHS Pension scheme whilst working for the Federation. Suppose you have previously worked for the NHS. In that case, your service with the Federation will count as continuous pensionable service (subject to you meeting the required criteria of the NHS Pension scheme).

  • We provide a clear plan and structure to support your career progression. We’ll help you identify your training and development needs and guide you to fulfil your potential.

  • The Federation operates a staff reward and recognition scheme. It wishes to recognise the many things that staff undertake that deserve recognition and praise in the workplace.

The staff reward and recognition scheme (“SRRS”) will include two types of rewards for staff who are shown to demonstrate work that merits an award:

    • Individual Rewards. The Federation will reward staff on each occasion with a gift voucher worth £30.

    • Custom Rewards for Teams. In addition to the individual rewards, where a team has demonstrated work that requires a bonus, the team can receive an event of their choosing, and the Federation will pay towards the cost of the event at £30 per head.

Training & Development

The LMA West London GP Federation hosts the West London Training Hub on behalf of our practices. The Training Hub, funded by Health Education England, offers training and development opportunities for primary care and our Primary Care Network teams. The Training Hub is currently developing our strategic plan for 2022/23, and we welcome local professionals’ ideas.

In addition to Training, the LMA supports our practices to participate in national and local research trials sponsored by funding from the National Institute of Health Research. The LMA works with our 40 practices to identify opportunities for our residents to participate in local research trials where clinically appropriate. Recently the LMA has offered the opportunity to over 1500 patients to join the anti-viral national Panoramic study
