About Us

WHAT DOES THE FEDERATION DO?

The London Medical Associates West London GP Federation (LMA) supports primary care in West London, delivering a range of services on behalf of the practices, covering the Royal Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea and the Paddington and Queens Park areas of Westminster.

Our teams work with our Board, the Clinical Directors of our 5 PCNs, and local partners and patients to support and develop local, place-based initiatives to transform and integrate local services to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population.

"The LMA Federation allows us to better respond to the needs of our community, to work together as practices to share best practice and help ensure consistent, high-quality care for our patients."

— Dr Fiona Butler

“The LMA, in collaboration with West London primary care, aims for local people to stay physically and mentally well as long as possible and to improve the quality of their lives.”

The London Medical Associates (LMA) supports local practices by providing primary care services at scale across West London. Our teams partner with local GPs, practice staff and other NHS and social care staff to ensure our appointments are accessible, expertly delivered and sensitively delivered for our residents.

In late 2020 the London Medical Associates (LMA) opened our first COVID Vaccination service for the residents of West London and beyond on behalf of our local practices.

The aim is to make vaccination a locally accessible, quick and safe process for our residents. In addition, we also provide face to face primary care services for possible COVID patients.

We are also providing Additional Roles (ARRS), such as Clinical Pharmacists, to our member practices and empowering research collaboration through our work with the National Institute for Health Research.

WHO RUNS THE FEDERATION?

The Federation is a membership organisation acting in the best interests of the patients and practices it represents. We are made up of a wide range of clinicians and experienced management staff from across West London. Our board comprises local GPs, Practice Managers and our Director of Strategy and Partnerships.

WHERE DOES FUNDING COME FROM?

We are remunerated in many different ways and from various sources that include the local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and from practices that support the work we do and other NHS organisations.
